The Chalice is an innovative coffee accessory that combines the functions of both a dosing cup and a coffee distribution tool, highlighting its remarkable Weiss Distribution Technique (WDT) feature. This specialised feature ensures the even dispersion of coffee grounds within the portafilter, significantly enhancing the espresso extraction process. As a dosing cup, the Chalice efficiently captures ground coffee, allowing for seamless placement atop any portafilter and facilitating an optimised workflow. It is designed to work in tandem with a scale, enabling precise measurement of coffee shots to ensure consistent quality. This method substantially reduces mess on the counter, accelerates the process of weighing individual servings, and aids in achieving a more uniform distribution of coffee grounds in the portafilter. The Chalice's commitment to even distribution is vital for producing a perfectly extracted espresso. It also boasts an adjustable Distribution Head, making it adaptable to various coffee doses and ensuring it fits most grinders and 58mm portafilters.

Coffee FAQ

Why is the roast date printed on the back of the bag?

We print the roast date on every bag so you know exactly when your coffee was roasted. Freshness is key to great flavor—our beans are usually at their best between 7–30 days after roasting. This gives the coffee time to “rest” and allows the flavors to fully develop.

How long will my coffee stay fresh?

Once opened, we recommend consuming your beans within 4–6 weeks. To keep them at their best, store them in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, and always reseal the bag tightly or place them in an airtight container.

Do you use a “best before” date?

Instead of a “best before” date, we focus on the roast date. Coffee doesn’t “go bad” like milk, but it will gradually lose flavor and aroma over time. Knowing the roast date lets you decide how fresh you want your brew.

How should I store my coffee?
  • Keep it in the original resealable bag or an airtight container.
  • Store in a cool, dark place—like a pantry, not the fridge.
  • Avoid moisture, heat, and strong odors, as coffee easily absorbs them.
Do you offer subscriptions?

Yes! You can subscribe to have fresh coffee delivered to your door on a schedule that suits you. Subscriptions mean you’ll never run out of your favorite beans.

Can I trace where my coffee comes from?

Absolutely. We source our beans directly from farmers and cooperatives whenever possible. Each bag lists the origin, variety, and processing method so you know exactly where your coffee comes from.
